Tiger Eye

my grandmother, Nana Hannah

Last night I saw my cousin, who just returned from the Iron Man World Championship in Hawaii. I am in absolute awe of his drive and devotion. Oh, and the book he packed to help him unwind? The Count of Monte Cristo. 1312 pages.

Admirable. I would have gone for Garfield comics myself.

My goodness, was your grandmother beautiful or what?! I need more details...when was this taken? Where did she live? What did she do with her life? I love her crimped hair and drapey neckline, too. So chic.

And congrats to your cousin. The Iron Man is insane. I did a few triathlons a while ago (shorter ones, obviously) and they were G-R-U-E-L-I-N-G.

That's a gorgeous lady right there. Nothing brings joy to the heart like old-timers made young again through the magic of photography. I'm intrigued as well -- more details?

Jezebel's love to the ancestors inspired me to dig out the dusty albums just now. I found this lone christmas card of my grandma from the 40s. They were in Honolulu at the time. She's dreaming of the new Bob Dylan Santa album. :)

Thanks for putting me on the hunt
